Real Weddings: Samantha Warner

We were so excited to be apart of another bride's beautiful wedding day. Our bridal collection is made to put you at ease and make your day extra special. Read more on this Ally bride and her St. Louis wedding. Photography provided by Tammi Camp Photography.

Ally Shoes: Tell us about yourself.

Samantha: I am a Real Estate and Fitness professional in St. Louis. I enjoy working out, training clients, and being social (day drinking) with friends. My Husband and I enjoy traveling as much as we can before having children, our goal for this year is Thailand for an official honeymoon.

Ally Shoes: How did you meet your husband?

Samantha: We met out downtown St.Louis and dated for a few months going our separate ways. Almost a year after this when my husband was moving to Tampa he asked to see me one more time before leaving out of the blue. We rekindled our relationship that night, my husband still moved to Tampa for the job he got but quickly transferred back to St. Louis within 6 months. I told him our lives were here and if we were going to give this a serious shot we needed to be in the same city. Just under two years later we were engaged.

Ally Shoes: What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process? Any wedding planning tips?

Samantha: I am very type A and organized, which I believe is the biggest tip. I highly suggest hiring a planner if this is not your specialty. I enjoyed every bit of it, most women I think complain about wedding planning. I enjoyed making the guest list, interviewing vendors (I have spoken to every wedding vendor in the St. Louis area), putting together day of gifts, the trials, the venue meetings. I thrive off of stress.

Ally Shoes: You had a ceremony outfit and a reception outfit. Can you share the thinking behind the two looks as you were putting them together?

Samantha: I originally bought an Alena Leena gown from Bridal Parlor with my mom. The beading, the glam, all of it gave me the exact Union Station old Hollywood vibes I was going for. I was obsessed with how well it went with my reception venue. After ordering the dress a few months later I kept thinking about walking down the aisle in it, I was just not sold about how it would look in the church. I started looking online for weeks. With my dress budget completely spent I knew I had to find something worthy of Saint Francis Xavier College Church for cheap. I found a beautiful Milla dress online and they offered to make it custom and add a longer train for free. I bought my ceremony dress on black friday for only $350 dollars, and the veil for $40. My last outfit of the night was the short and helter my mom married my dad in 32 years ago on a beach in Jamaica. My after party look.

Ally Shoes: Are you team DJ or team band?

Samantha: Although Bands are such a nice touch at weddings, I had just heard such great things about Jimmy Hussey. My DJ he was such an entertainer and truly loves what he does. I thought his talent was just as good as a band.

Ally Shoes: Who is your ally?

Samantha: My Ally is my husband, he always has my back.
